At SW Football Development (SWFD), we are dedicated to elevating grassroots football by delivering high-quality, professional coaching to schools and young players aged 4–18.
Founded and led by Sam West — a UEFA-qualified coach with nearly a decade of academy experience and two years as a Bristol City FC scholar — SWFD blends professional insight with a passion for developing players at the earliest stages of their journey.
Our mission extends beyond bringing elite-standard coaching into school environments. We are committed to helping players push to the next level of their game through personalised 1-to-1 sessions and small-group development programs, supported by top-quality resources, guidance, and a proven coaching structure.
We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the standards, discipline, enjoyment, and learning of the professional game in a positive, supportive setting. By working closely with schools, players, and families, we not only create exciting football opportunities but also provide meaningful support for PE provision, after-school clubs, and the wider personal development of pupils.
